Millions of users were left scrambling, unable to login, refresh feeds, or, well, meme about the whole thing (at least, not on those platforms).

But fear not, internet citizens! While the cause of the outage remains a mystery, one thing’s for sure: Elon Musk wasn’t going to miss his chance to poke a little fun. On X (formerly Twitter, remember?), Musk quipped, “If you’re reading this post, it’s because our servers are working.” Talk about adding salt to the wound!
The tweet instantly went viral, with users erupting in laughter and memes of their own. One parody account of Mark Zuckerberg, Meta’s founder, even joked, “It’s because I let them in!” Another poked fun at the irony, suggesting Meta was using X to update users about the outage on a rival platform.
While the outage caused some temporary frustration, it also served as a hilarious reminder of our dependence (and sometimes, over-dependence) on social media. But hey, at least it provided some prime meme fodder and a chance for Elon to flex his playful side. Who knows, maybe this is just the internet’s way of reminding us to take a break and, you know, actually talk to people in real life (gasp!).
